General Information
- Price: The Organic Planet Festival is priced as a family-friendly event. Tickets are $7.00 in advance at the usual local outlets (The Works, The Metro, People's Records, and Wildhorse Records in Garberville), and $10.00 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free! Also, watch for the Californians for Alternatives to Toxics table at Farmer's Markets and other events throughout the summer, featuring ticket give-aways, and special "family and friends" pricing.
- Location: Halvorsen Park on Humboldt Bay at the Foot of "L" Street in Eureka. Click here to see a Google Map of the area.
- Getting there:
-- If you are driving, you will likely be travelling either North or South on Highway 101. Southbound 101 is 4th Street in Eureka and Northbound 101 is 5th Street. Turn on "L" Street towards the bay (right off of 4th and left off of 5th) and go 3-4 blocks until the road dead ends. Turn right and follow the signs! There is an ample field for parking.
-- If you are coming from Arcata and North, and would like to save on gas and greenhouse gas emissions, you can take our free Arcata shuttlebus. It's new this year and will run all day from 11am-7pm, picking up every 30 minutes at the Humboldt State University parking lot on 14th and Union, and at the Northcoast Co-Op in downtown Arcata. Parking at HSU's parking lot is free all day on Sundays, so you can "park and ride"! Please don't park in the Co-Op parking lot while attending the festival. There is plenty of on-street parking nearby.
-- Also new this year is our "bike check" area. Hosted by HSU's CCAT and Green Wheels, your bike will be safely stored while you have fun...and the best part is, it's free! So grab your friends and bike to the festival and enjoy a fossil fuel free day.
- General rules: no outside alcohol, no dogs (official service dogs ok), no video recording, no vending, no glass.
