Tanya Stephens

Tanya Stephens

Jamaica's top female reggae superstar, Tanya Stephens is equally adept at blazing the latest dancehall riddims as she is at blessing an acoustic guitar-driven ballad with lyrics that are insightful, relevant, comical, and often scathing...life and love observed with the honest eyes of a child, yet processed and returned to her audience with uncommon maturity and melody.

In an industry historically dominated by male artists with an occasional sexy vixen, Stephens introduces an element of advanced creativity not common in her era. She is both ahead of her time, and reminiscent of a past era when soul music by the likes of Marvin Gaye and Bob Marley reigned supreme.

Mike McGrath

Keynote speaker: Mike McGrath

Former editor-in-chief of Organic Gardening Magazine and host of "You Bet Your Garden," nationally syndicated weekly public radio show. Outdoor enthusiast, organic food advocate and an award winning flower grower, Mike McGrath will underscore the festival’s theme of transforming everyday practices from harmful to healthful.
